With Galaxy Unpacked 2023 happening on February 2, many are waiting to see. What the Galaxy S23 Ultra will offer as an upgrade from the S22.
The massive event will be streamed globally from San Francisco. Through its official Samsung Country website. And social media channels and promises to be the ‘Show of the Year’.
Galaxy S23 Ultra Malaysia
While many fans around the world are patiently waiting for the official news. Others in Malaysia, like me. Who have been using the Galaxy S series for years, are also excited about the Galaxy S23.
I can’t wait for the official announcement of the improvements made to the all-new S23 Ultra. During Galaxy Unpacked 2023 on February 1.
So many speculations and leaks about the all-new Galaxy S23 have been shared. On social media over the past six months. And it has gotten many people, including myself, excited about the smartphone innovation.
As I have been actively using the Galaxy S series for the past few years, I have reviewed many models of the S series.
While much has been speculated, there are many hints towards. Higher-megapixel sensors and improved low-light photography.
It seems that some teasers have been circulated on Chinese social platform Weibo. Where the teaser claims that “stunning night photos are coming soon.” And “WOW-worthy resolution is coming”,
Another speculation is that the chipset. Will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It is also rumored that Samsung will drop Exynos globally in favor of a unified Qualcomm front.
Another rumor is that some or all the phones could come with. At least 256GB of storage, double the current Galaxy S22’s starting capacity. Everyone needs more space these days.
The phone’s screen is essential to me, and it’s rumored to be an AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Which means they’re colorful and bright with silky smooth onscreen motion. Hopefully, it will also be the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
And in some big news for the flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra phone. Rumors say that Samsung will bend the glass on all four screen edges of that phone. maybe a little
Samsung has been curving the sides of phones to varying degrees since the Galaxy S6 edge. But the S23 Ultra could be the first for an all-round curve in a flagship phone. That would be really cool!
Finally, the rumored colors for the Samsung Galaxy S23. Series are four interesting colors. There are black, beige, green and light pink. But these are only rumours, as the colors in the current series are Cotton Flower (cream), Misty Lilac (pink). Botanic Green and Phantom Black.

The camera system on the Galaxy S23 Ultra
This is important to me because I use the camera for my work. And everyday photography, so my focus goes to this category with every launch of a flagship model.
The news also announced that Samsung is launching a 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor as early as 2022. Which could be a big leap forward in phone photography.
It could also be the biggest move from Samsung in years. With a source saying the phone will feature ‘Night Vision’. A super-advanced night camera system.
Well, there is a supposed slight improvement in the quad camera system on the S23. And below is what I’ve gathered so far;

This is also a factor that many are considering, as a flagship smartphone usually starts at RM3,000 or above.
But these days, people simply trade in old models or take up. A new telco contract to get the latest smartphone on installments. That way, you don’t need to spend RM5,000 or more to buy instantly.
