Vivo is gearing up to launch the new Vivo S16 series. The devices will replace the Vivo S15 series in China and may reach the global market under the Vivo V26 family. Vivo is yet to confirm the launch of the new phone, but leaks are already popping out. Today, the design of Vivo S16 Pro was revealed by leaked renders. The phone has a curved screen and a triple-camera setup. Both are typical features of the premium mid-range segment.
According to the renders, the Vivo S16 Pro will continue the legacy of the Vivo S-series. The focus is on the sleek design with a premium look and the camera department. The Vivo S16 Pro will pack a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. According to the leak, the panel will be AMOLED, but the exact size of the display is unclear. The side bezels are almost non-existent, and the top and bottom are thin but still there.
Of course, we can draw deeper conclusions from this design render.
Turning to the back, the Vivo S16 Pro comes with a triple-camera array. There is a large rectangle for snappers with an LED flash ring. The island has a glossy finish, while the back cover has a matte black finish. The phone has a volume rocker and a power button on the right side frame. The USB Type-C port sits at the bottom along with the microphone and loudspeaker. There is a noise-canceling microphone at the top of the phone. There’s a regular power button on the side, so we believe. The phone has an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Apart from the Vivo S16 Pro, we can expect a vanilla S16 and even a Vivo S16e. Similarly, the lineup may get a rebrand in the Vivo V26e, V26, and V26 Pro across global markets. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the new phones appear later this month or early January 2023. According to rumours, Vivo will use three distinct chipsets for these SoCs.
